DESERT ICE showed solid improvement when finishing second in her latest over 1400m, just 0.5L back from the winner. She is drawn wideish in gate seven, but gets Keagan de Melo in the irons so she will get all the necessary assistance from the saddle. WILD WEATHER is drawn one inside the former and had to be held up at the 150m last time, so she had her excuse. With better luck in running, her stable will be looking for improvement here. PARADIGM SHIFT showed pace when finishing eighth on debut over this C&D, 5.85L back from the winner. She will have to negotiate a wide draw ten, but she is speedy and should be able to work her way across without too much effort. SYLT did not really go on with the effort in her last start over this C&D, but from her kinder draw four, she should not be lightly dismissed.
