Trainer Justin Snaith holds a strong hand in this contest. HAPPY VERSE moved up with a ton in hand in the Grade 3 HKJC World Pool Politician Stakes last time before getting caught late by STAR MAJOR. The son of Vercingetorix will be at home over this distance. He is a temperamental individual and if all goes to plan in the prelims, he should take a power of beating. WISH LIST was given a peach of a ride when winning the Grade 1 Cartier Paddock Stakes last time. The daughter of Legislate should have no issues with the rise to 2000m. Richard Fourie was aboard when shedding her maiden tag. She is in a good space and is a big runner. STAR MAJOR won a good race in the Grade 3 HKJC World Pool Politician Stakes last time. The manner in which he finished off his race that day suggests that he will love the rise to 2000m. He is in a good space and merits healthy respect. NOTE TO SELF was an easy winner over this C&D last time. He showed a good turn of foot that day and drew clear with ease. The son of Futura takes on much stronger, but he looks to have class about him and he may be up to the task at hand.
