He was given a peach of a ride to win his last outing over this C&D. He meets a similar line-up this afternoon and can bring up the hat-trick. THE US OF A stayed on when fifth in the Grade 2 SplashOut Cape Merchants last time. He has won three times and finished second once from as many starts over this C&D. Should the top choice fluff his lines, he may be the one to pick up the pieces. GOLDEN DESTINY was squeezed leaving the start last time and stayed on to finish second. He finished 2 lengths behind ONE LINER in his penultimate effort. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. RAVEN BLACK finished 2.95 lengths behind the second choice last time. He is better than that effort and if finding the form of his penultimate run, he should go close.
