STAR IN WINTER showed very good improvement when finishing second over 1250m at Durbanville last time. She challenged strongly, but found one too good in the form of Pucallpa. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of What A Winter should have no issues with the drop to 1000m and in this type of field, can shed her maiden tag. COUNTRY TIME made the expected natural improvement when finishing second over this C&D, five weeks ago. She showed good speed, but found one too good in the form of Ciao Bella. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces. TRIP TO BARBERTON is an unraced daughter of Trippi from the Justin Snaith yard with Grant van Niekerk in the saddle. She is related to multiple winners including Barberton Silver and Impala Lily. If not too green, she should get her career off to a positive start. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her chances. SILVER SCREEN ran a fair race on debut over this C&D. She would have come on with the run and should make the natural progression.
