CORSICAN produced a promising debut effort over 1000m on the polytrack. The manner in which he finished off his race that day was encouraging. The son of Eightfold Path would have gained from the experience and will love the extra furlong on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating in this line-up. EUGENE is an unraced son of The United States from the Dean Kannemeyer yard with stable jockey Keagan de Melo in the saddle. He does not need to be a stable superstar to win in this type of field. If not too green, he should get his career off to a positive start. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to his chances. FORGOTTEN TIME was disappointing in his last start over this C&D. His penultimate run behind Kitchakal was encouraging. If putting his best foot forward, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest. WHIZ BANG was in need of his debut effort over this C&D. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He would have come on from the run and should make the natural progression.
