MERIDIUS is the best bet on the programme. He was slow into stride on debut over 1450m on the Classic course, but the manner in which he finished off his race caught the eye. The son of Canford Cliffs would have gained from the experience and will love the extra distance on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating. PARKER GETRIX has some decent recent form lines to his credit. He has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this C&D. He is carded to race on 23 June 2022 and his progress in that race will need to be monitored. STEPPING OUT finished 5.15 lengths behind the top choice last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms today. He would have come on from the run and should make the natural progression. GLOBAL BREEZE lost three lengths at the start, raced green and was cut into on debut over 1400m on this course. He would have come on from the run and with Piere Strydom in the saddle, he can improve to finish in the first three.
