WINTER BELLE made the trip to KZN to make her debut in the Grade 3 Tote Strelitzia Stakes. The jockey reported something to be amiss in running that day. It must be noted that Quickstepgal has come out and won again since. The daughter of What A Winter would have gained from the experience and in Maiden Company, she may be the one to side with. STONE OF SCONE showed good improvement when second over this C&D. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was encouraging. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride, and there should be more to come. SISTERSHIP is an unraced daughter of Rafeef from the Alec Laird stable with Calvin Habib in the saddle. She is related to six-time winner Rulership. If not in need of the run, she should start her career on a positive note. The betting market will be the best guide with regards to her and the other unraced entrants. SURPRISE PARTY is a daughter of Gimmethegreenlight from the Paul Matchett stable with Muzi Yeni up. If not too green in running, she should give a good account of herself.
