YOUNG JACKIE showed very good improvement in her last start over 1200m at the Vaal. She showed good speed, but was outrun in the latter stages. The daughter of Jackson looks to be a progressive type and should have no issues with the drop to 1000m. In this type of field, she is capable of shedding her maiden tag. BETHANY showed some improvement in her last start over this distance at the Vaal, under 4kgs claiming apprentice Kaidan Brewer. The daughter of Red Ray should strip a much fitter horse today and may have more to come. RED HOT was a tad disappointing in her last start over 1450m on the Inside course. She drops back to the 1000m and on best form shown, she should be competitive in this line-up. HAUTE VAULEE had excuses in her last start over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Greyville. Her penultimate run when finishing fourth over 1200m at the Vaal is encouraging. She should have no issues with the drop to the 1000m and she has plenty of scope.
