STAGGERWING was far from disgraced when fourth in the Listed Wilgerbosdrift Ruffian Stakes last time. She jumped awkwardly leaving the start, but stayed on at the finish. The daughter of Rafeef returns from an 11-week break, during which time she would have strengthened up. She is back in Maiden Company and should take a power of beating. MOLTEN ROCK showed improvement when fourth over this distance at Turffontein last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. She is a progressive type and may have more to come. RUBY WHISPER found one too good in the form of Haute Couture last time. She finished second over this C&D in her penultimate outing. The daughter of Captain Of All may be rewarded for consistency. NORTHERN EUROPEAN had excuses in her last start over 1200m on the Hollywoodbets Greyville polytrack. She drops to 1000m and the blinkers should sharpen her up. The booking of Muzi Yeni is a plus and she can finish in the placings.
