GREAT NOTION was her own worst enemy over this C&D in a work riders' contest last time. She over raced in the early stages and was reported to be fatigued post-race. She gets the services of Piere Strydom who is riding at the top of his game. She jumps from pole position and if switching off early, she should be hard to peg back. INSTANT ATTRACTION stayed on when second over 2000m last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. Should the top choice fluff her lines, she may be the one to pick up the pieces. CITY LIGHTS is still a maiden after 26 starts, but has decent recent form lines to her credit. The drop to 1600m may be ideal and she should be competitive. TODOQUE is better than her comeback run as she was reported to be lame on her right hind. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She will strip much fitter and can show signs of a form return.
