QUICK WIT has shown some improvement in her last two starts with the blinkers fitted. She finished 2.1 lengths behind VIC FALLS in her penultimate effort. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She will enjoy the return to the turf and she may find herself in the winner's enclosure. VIC FALLS ran a good race when finishing second over this C&D against the males last time. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. She has won once and finished second twice from five starts over this C&D. The daughter of Elusive Fort will be staying on. AFTERNOON TEA has run two good races since relocating to the Eastern Cape. Her penultimate run when winning over this C&D catches the eye. The daughter of Pathfork will be mowing down the frontrunners. SWEET THE SOUND is much better than her last start as she was reported to be not striding out. She returns from a 12-week break, which may have done her the world of good. If not in need of the run, she should run into the money.
